US-based Enovis Corporation has entered into a binding offer to acquire eCential Robotics, a French medical technology company specialising in robotic and navigation solutions for orthopaedic surgery.
Following completion of the information and consultation process with eCential Robotics’ works council, in accordance with French law, the parties expect to enter into a definitive purchase agreement. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.
Announcing the binding offer from Enovis, eCential Robotics said its expertise in robotics engineering, software development and surgical automation complements Enovis’ existing technology portfolio while adding capabilities that could accelerate its innovation roadmap.
eCential Robotics’ Op.n platform integrates surgical navigation and active robotics into a single architecture. The platform is FDA 510(k)-cleared for spine surgery in the US and provides a foundation for future innovation.
The acquisition is expected to strengthen and expand Enovis’ ASTRA enabling technology ecosystem by adding robotic automation capabilities, creating a more comprehensive ecosystem designed to improve surgical precision, streamline workflows and enhance patient outcomes.
