Philips Launches Oxygenate 5 Home Oxygen Concentrator in India

Philips Oxygenate 5 delivers continuous oxygen flow of 0.5–5 L/min and features quieter operation, digital flow monitoring and user-replaceable filters.

Philips Expands Respiratory Care Portfolio with Oxygenate 5

Philips has launched Oxygenate 5, a new stationary oxygen concentrator in India designed to support people requiring long-term supplemental oxygen therapy at home.

The launch strengthens the company’s sleep and respiratory care portfolio amid India’s growing burden of respiratory diseases.

India faces a significant burden of chronic respiratory diseases. Philips cited reports estimating that chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) affects around 13% of adults in India, with the prevalence rising to 27% among people aged 60 and above.

For patients with chronic respiratory conditions who develop severe hypoxaemia, long-term oxygen therapy can be an important part of ongoing care. Oxygenate 5 is designed to support these needs, including in home-care settings, the company said.

As respiratory care increasingly extends beyond hospitals, there is growing emphasis on making long-term oxygen therapy easier to manage at home. Oxygenate 5 incorporates patient- and caregiver-focused features, including quieter operation at less than 40 dB, an easy-to-read digital flowmeter and simplified routine maintenance.

Bharath Sesha, managing director, Philips Indian Subcontinent, said,“For people living with chronic respiratory conditions, access to reliable oxygen therapy can make a meaningful difference to how they manage their everyday lives. As India faces a growing burden of respiratory diseases, the need is not just for advanced technology, but for solutions that make long-term care simpler, more dependable and accessible to patients.”

“With Oxygenate 5, we are bringing innovation closer to the needs of patients and their families, recognising that effective care must also support comfort and confidence in everyday life,” he added.

According to Philips, Oxygenate 5 delivers continuous oxygen flow ranging from 0.5 to 5 litres per minute (L/min). Its digital flow display is designed to simplify oxygen flow monitoring and adjustment.

The device also supports durable medical equipment (DME) providers and clinicians in managing patient care. It features nine levels of filtration and is supplied with four additional air inlet filters and one additional air filter.

The user-replaceable filters are intended to simplify maintenance, potentially reduce consumable purchases and lower operational costs. The concentrator also comes with a 10,000-hour sieve warranty and a three-year limited warranty.
