Siemens Healthineers Introduces Cios Go ID Mobile C-arm with Integrated Display

Siemens Healthineers’ Cios Go ID combines an integrated display and compact design to support 2D intraoperative imaging and efficient workflows across diverse surgical settings.

Siemens Healthineers Introduces Mobile C-arm Systems for Intraoperative Imaging

Siemens Healthineers has introduced Cios Go and Cios Go ID, a new generation of mobile C-arm systems designed to support 2D intraoperative imaging and improve surgical workflows across a range of clinical environments.

The company showcased the new platform at the German Congress of Orthopedics and Traumatology, highlighting its compact design, modular configurations and imaging technologies.

Cios Go ID features an integrated display mounted on the C-arm, enabling flexible image viewing from different positions in the operating room (OR). Its large UHD screen is designed to improve viewing comfort, while the counterbalanced monitor arm and integrated lock help stabilise the display during transport and parking.

The integrated display also enables the system to be transported between operating rooms as a single unit, simplifying transfers and positioning in busy clinical environments.

“With Cios Go and Cios Go ID, we set out to redefine expectations for mobile C-arms by combining powerful imaging with intuitive usability,” said Peter Seitz, head of Image-Guided Surgery and Robotics at Siemens Healthineers.

“The systems bring clarity, flexibility, and streamlined workflows directly into the operating room – empowering surgical teams to make confident, timely decisions and deliver efficient, high-quality patient care,” he added.

Imaging technologies and clinical applications

Cios Go and Cios Go ID incorporate several imaging tools designed to support intraoperative decision-making. Live Zoom enables surgeons to assess small anatomical details and implant positioning using touch gestures, while SpotAdapt automatically optimises brightness and contrast within a defined region of interest.

The systems come with a high generator performance of 3.5 kW or 5 kW and flexible detector sizes of 20 cm × 20 cm or 31 cm × 31 cm. The Retina Imaging Chain is designed to deliver consistent image quality across clinical applications while adhering to the ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) principle.

A large 4K display supports image evaluation during procedures. Additional features include a green laser-light localiser for system and patient positioning, a Target Pointer for screw and K-wire placement, and Live Graphical Overlay for touchscreen annotations.

The user interface combines single- and multitouch controls with guided exam selection to support ease of operation.

Designed for flexible surgical workflows

The Cios Go platform offers configurable options for different clinical requirements, multidisciplinary applications and space-constrained operating rooms.

Designed for frequent transfers, Cios Go ID combines a lightweight  design with modular flexibility. Its monitor arm lock secures the display during transport, while standby mode allows the system to be disconnected, moved and quickly resumed at another location.

Mobile C-arm systems are commonly used in orthopaedic, spine, vascular and minimally invasive procedures, where real-time imaging supports intraoperative decisions. The new platform is designed to address the demands of these settings by combining imaging performance with mobility, ergonomic features and workflow efficiency.
