The Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), an Institution of National Importance under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, has partnered with Tata Elxsi to develop next-generation healthcare solutions.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed at SCTIMST in Thiruvananthapuram in the presence of senior leaders from both organisations, including Dr. Sanjay Behari, Director, SCTIMST, and Manoj Raghavan, CEO & Managing Director, Tata Elxsi, along with members of the healthcare, research and technology leadership teams from both institutions.
The partnership combines SCTIMST’s strengths in cardiovascular sciences, neurosciences, biotechnology and clinical sciences with Tata Elxsi’s expertise in product engineering, design, AI and digital technologies.
The collaboration will focus on developing solutions across diagnostics, medical imaging, digital health, biomedical engineering and medical devices for India and global markets.

The MoU establishes a framework for joint research, academic engagement, technology development initiatives and intellectual property creation through project-specific collaborations.
The initial phase of the partnership will focus on identifying a select set of high-potential opportunities for collaborative development.
