The Medical Equipment and Hospital Planning Department (MHD) of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) will organise a seminar on “Medical Devices: From Packaging Design to Hospital Reprocessing” on September 17, 2026, at Manak Bhawan, New Delhi.
The seminar aims to facilitate knowledge sharing on emerging innovations, standardisation and best practices.
The event will bring together experts, industry representatives, academicians, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to discuss recent advancements and standardisation efforts aimed at enhancing the quality and safety of medical equipment packaging and sterilisation in India.
The seminar will be inaugurated by Sumit Sengar, Scientist E, Director & Head (MHD), BIS.
Key areas of discussion will include the latest developments in medical device packaging standards, sterilisation modalities and their key advantages and challenges, packaging design validation, and hospital reprocessing.
