US-based medical supply company Dynarex Corporation has expanded its respiratory care portfolio with the launch of new products aimed at supporting oxygen therapy, patient mobility, and continuous ventilation across different care settings.
The latest additions include the Resp-O₂ Portable Oxygen Concentrator and new infant- and peadiatric-sized closed suction catheters.
Designed for patients requiring supplemental oxygen on the move, the Resp-O₂ Portable Oxygen Concentrator is a lightweight, FAA-compliant device that delivers oxygen in a compact, travel-friendly format.
Built for continuous 24/7 use, the concentrator provides up to 90 per cent oxygen concentration with adjustable flow settings ranging from 1 to 6 litres per minute, enabling therapy to be tailored to individual patient needs. Weighing around five pounds, the device is designed for ease of transport and storage, and can be used conveniently in vehicles, workplaces, and bedside environments.
The concentrator also features visual and audible alerts to notify users of power disruptions, changes in oxygen purity, and lack of breath detection. Multiple power options, including AC/DC compatibility and a high-capacity battery, allow for greater flexibility across care environments, while quiet operation is intended to minimise disruption during everyday use.
“Many oxygen users want the freedom to travel, work, and remain active without sacrificing access to oxygen therapy. The Resp-O₂ Portable Oxygen Concentrator combines dependable oxygen delivery with a lightweight, travel-ready design that supports greater mobility and independence,” said Shauna Winston, Category Manager at Dynarex.
Alongside the portable oxygen concentrator, Dynarex has expanded its Resp-O₂ closed suction catheter range with new models developed specifically for infant and peadiatric patients.
The expanded line includes tracheostomy and endotracheal closed suction catheters available in elbow and Y-adapter designs that integrate with ventilator circuits while maintaining a closed system. The devices support uninterrupted ventilation during suctioning, helping reduce infection risk and maintain consistent oxygen delivery.
Additional features include colour-coded depth markers to assist accurate placement, smooth flexible tubing for easier handling, lavage ports for cleaning, and lockable thumb control valves to help prevent accidental suctioning.
“Infant and peadiatric airway management presents unique challenges that require appropriately sized solutions. These additions expand the options available to clinicians while maintaining the benefits of continuous ventilation and a closed suction system,” Winston added.
The Resp-O₂ Portable Oxygen Concentrator and the expanded infant and peadiatric closed suction catheter range are now available through Dynarex’s national distribution network.
